China Anhui YONG XI HUO QING Special Green Tea

High quality and famous green tea from the Yong Xi area in western Anhui province, used as a tribute tea during the Ming dynasty. It's name translate as "Fire Green from Yong Xi". The tea is listed in the "50 famous china teas" list in the book "All teas in china".

Tight rolled leaf into shiny pellet shape, like gunpowder tea, with pleasant sweet fragrance. The tips plus two first leaves (Mao Feng) rolled into shiny "pearl" shape with sweet orchid fragrance which is absorbed by the tea leaves from flower growing in surrounding place.

Infusion of orchid aroma, rich flowery orchid taste with harmonic fresh green notes, light hints of smokiness in the aftertaste.

Preparation tip: warm the teapot, add a tea filter with 6 – 7 g of tea, pour 0.3 l of water about 75 - 80°C warm, steep for 2 – 2.5 minutes. Another steep is possible.
