China Guangdong YINGDE YIN HONG Special Black Tea

A very good medium grade black tea from the Ying De area in the north of Guangdong province, listed in the '50 Famous Teas of China' (All the Teas of China, p. 223). Tea has been grown in this area since the 1960s when the fallow land was planted with Yunnan cultivar Yin Hong No.9.

Longer, entire, loosely twisted, loosely rolled leaves in needles with a higher proportion of tips.

The infusion has an very good, full-bodied, balanced, bittersweet chocolate flavour with slightly almond notes.

Preparation tip: warm the teapot, add a tea filter with 6 – 8 g of tea, pour 0.6 l of boiling water, steep for 3 – 5 min.
